In light of recent unexpected mortality experience, an insurance company required an expert view on the best-estimate and risk distribution for short-term mortality improvements across specific diseases areas, taking into account key drivers such as the strained healthcare system. Our expert panel was able to provide a set of parameters for each disease area using their combined clinical experience and expertise. Each parameter included a range providing the client with a clear understanding of the uncertainty associated with the expert judgement. Ongoing support was provided to the client, responding to regulatory scrutiny in a detailed and timely manner.

For a large reinsurer we provide ongoing expert panel support to their critical illness products, collaborating on issues such as updating underwriting rules in light of new clinical information.
